Our First Day

Whew! Is it over? What a day! The quick run-down is that we did follow a schedule. We did put God first in our plans, with prayer and worship. We did complete some of the things I had planned. I did actually feed them three meals. I even did a load of laundry! We did not finish everything I thought we would.
I see where my planned schedule needs a little work. I am getting to know my kids in a completely different way. I am still learning myself. We did not completely fall apart at any point. We did not plop in front of the TV for hours at a time. We did have fun.

At the end of the day I am tired, a little nervous about keeping up the pace and the motivation, and above all I am happy. I feel like I am doing what God has called me to do. I loved being with them today. I want to learn how to challenge them, but not badger them. I feel like this is going to be hard work, but it will make me a better person.

I know anything that was accomplished today was due to me placing all of this in God's hands. He showed me in a very practical way that He is more than enough for every situation I will encounter.
